The Miss Hughson Coronation was April
9th, 2005 and Miss Danielle Rush was
crowned Miss Hughson 2005.
Danielle has lived in Hughson all her
life with her parents, Sam and Pam
Rush. As a child she won the Wee Miss
Hughson contest and last year was
First Runner Up in the 2004 Miss
Hughson Scholarship Program.
Danielle is a senior at Hughson High
School and wants to be a pediatric
nurse. She loves children and spends
a lot of her free time with them. She
loves cheerleading and horseback
riding.
As Miss Hughson 2005, Danielle will
represent Hughson in local parades,
community events including the
Hughson Fruit & Nut Festival, the
20th Century club Craft Faire, the
Historical Society Antique Appraisal
and more. She will also help the
Hughson chamber of commerce at
business grand openings, ribbon
cuttings and mixers.
The Hughson Chamber of commerce is
the primary sponsor of the Miss
Hughson Scholarship Program. Many

Danielle received a scholarship for
$1,500 and gifts valued at more than
$1,250.00, including a computer
donated by Food 4 Less grocery stores
in Ceres and H & H CompuTec in
Modesto.
First Runner up was Julie Damas, a
senior at Hughson High School who is
currently in the Nursing ROP program
and will attend Stanislaus State to
complete her nursing program. She was
awarded a scholarship for $750 and
more than $250 in gifts.
Second Runner Up was Jessica
Crawford, a junior at Hughson High
who wants to attend Stanislaus State
and get her teaching credentials. She
was awarded a $500 scholarship and
more than $250 in gifts.
